Letter to Members – May 2015
The Remuneration Board held its fourth meeting of 2015 on 22 May. I am writing to keep you abreast of progress.
As you will be aware, the Board launched its Determination for the Fifth Assembly and a report on the review we have undertaken at a morning press conference. This has been widely covered in the media.
In the afternoon the Board held a short meeting.
We discussed some issues we wish to include in a short report of hand-over issues for the Board to take forward in its second mandate.
We noted progress on the work being done to update the range of policies and supporting documents which govern the employment of Support Staff. We will consult on changes later in the year.
We also received a very comprehensive paper from the Pensions Team, setting out proposals for the implementation of the new Members’ Pension Scheme over the coming twelve months.
As usual, I intend to make this letter publicly available through our website once Members have had a chance to read it.
I am happy to meet with individual AMs or parties. If you would like to meet, please contact the Board’s clerk Gareth Price remuneration@assembly.wales to make arrangements.
Yours sincerely
